Introduction – Sedation in the Dental Office
Dental anxiety can be a barrier to the patient to seek dental treatment and a challenge to the treating dental team. An overview of the available pharmacological means to manage the anxious patient in the dental practice is presented. The advantages and disadvantages as well as indications and contraindication of each sedation modality are discussed.
